Quality Technician
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that materials and products at different production stages meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements and plays a critical role in maintaining product consistency, safety, and efficacy across formulations
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine analytical testing on raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods using methods such as pH, viscosity, density, appearance, odor, and microbial screening
- Uses instrumentation such as balances, pH meters, and viscometers to verify product quality
- Conducts stability and compatibility studies and evaluates results to ensure shelf-life compliance
- Documents test results accurately in accordance with GMP and SOP requirements
- Investigate deviations or out-of-spec results and assist in root cause analysis
- Manages retain samples, ensures equipment is clean, sanitary, and calibrated, and maintains a safe work environment.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or relevant experience
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in the beauty or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
- Proficiency in performing viscosity and pH measurements, density,
- Willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively within a small team
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and teamwork, ability to manage priorities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
